OT Microsoft Windows Media Player 11 - Drama Queen
I did have the toolbar for WMP selected and un-selecting it has restored WMP to normal operation - however the taskbar mini player wasn't on show - I've now found Now, Close the player down. That will save the position settings as on-screen. Next time you reopen the player, it should stay on screen at startup.

My only player is WMP 11. I have a 1 Lite-On DVDRW SHM-165H6S (only drive for my CD and DVD use.) With version 10 when I started my PC the player came up with the play list I was using previously at the point I had stopped when I turned off the PC. Now with 11 I have to reselect which playlist I want and where I want it to start from, is this correct or can I get it to hold my prvious settings. Cheers.

My Windows Media Player version is 11.0.6000.6344. Whenever I try to play an MP3 or WMV, WMP 11 crashes with and says "Windows Media Player has stopped working" If I I went into the Services application and disabled that service and that got rid of the message, but it still will crash if I try to start it up.
